Blackstone Invests $200M in entrata for Multifamily Property Management

Blackstone has made a $200 million investment in Entrata,a Lehi,Utah-based operating system provider for multifamily communities.The deal values the company, which offers technology solutions for accounting, purchasing, facilities and leasing, at $4.3 billion.
Entrata’s centralized platform streamlines property management operations, including work order tracking, financial tasks and online payments. Recent innovations include ELI+, an integrated platform for leasing, payments, and renewals, and Homebody, a solution designed to boost resident engagement and loyalty through rewards.
Adam Edmunds, CEO of entrata, said the Blackstone investment aligns capital and expertise, enabling the company to expand its technology to more owners, operators and residents. Brian Dunlap, a managing director at Blackstone, said they are pleased to invest in Entrata as it expands its technology solutions for the property management industry.

Following a majority investment from Silver Lake in 2021,Entrata continues to strengthen its market position in multifamily property management. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati served as legal advisor to entrata for the transaction, which aims to advance multifamily property management technology.

The investment is expected to fuel further development and expansion of Entrata’s property management technology, enhancing its offerings for the rental housing industry.
