Experience ​the World-Class Space Exhibition: SPACE JOURNEY BANGKOK

Geoinformatics and Space Technology Development ‍Agency (GISTDA), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, invites ⁣you to explore the world-class space exhibition, “SPACE JOURNEY BANGKOK”. This exhibition is a first of its kind‌ in ‌Asia and aims to ​inspire the future development of space technology⁢ in Thailand.

Exhibition Overview

SPACE JOURNEY BANGKOK Exhibition

The exhibition features 10 virtual exhibition rooms that showcase the past, present, and ⁢future of space exploration. With​ over 600‍ parts of real used spaceships and rare models⁣ from the United States, the Soviet Union, and others,⁢ this exhibition‌ is a must-visit for space enthusiasts. The exhibition also includes 3D ⁢movies,‌ an interactive universe zone, and⁤ a gyroscope.

SPACE JOURNEY BANGKOK Highlights

  • The original components ‍of the Saturn V Space Shuttle F1 engine, recovered‍ from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean by ‍Amazon owner Jeff Besos.
  • Original control ‌panel of the Houston Mission Command Center,⁢ used by engineers to communicate ⁤with astronauts on the Apollo missions and early ⁤space​ shuttles.
  • 1:1 replica⁣ of the Apollo control module, equipped‍ with period-correct ⁤controls for ⁣the entire duration‍ of the flight.
  • Model of the Mars rover, the world’s most industrious robot, which worked ‌for 5,498 days.
  • Model of⁤ lunar probe, which⁤ rescued astronauts from Apollo 15, 16, and 17 missions.
  • Russian lunar rover⁣ Lunokhod, sent to replace humans⁤ on the Luna spacecraft, controlled from a ​ground control center.
  • Collection⁢ of meteorites, including rocks⁢ from Mars, unique ⁣collectibles with a value per gram ‌higher than gold.

Exhibition Details

The exhibition will be held from December 16, 2024, to April 16, 2025, at Event Space 98, BITEC Buri (BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center).
