Massive Fire Breaks Out in Egypt’s Media Production City

A devastating fire erupted in Media Production City, located in Egypt’s October 6 district, on Monday evening, sending shockwaves throughout the area.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with flames rising from inside the city walls and smoke completely enveloping the surrounding area, creating an alarming situation.

Fire Description

According to a source within the media production city, the staff of a satellite channel located inside the city were caught off guard by the intense growth of fire and smoke.

The source revealed that the fire broke out in a popular neighborhood located inside outdoor photography studios, which are frequently used for filming dramatic and cinematic works.

The studio in question is made up of wood and other flammable materials, in addition to several warehouses for props used in filming artistic works. This combination of materials created a hazardous environment, making the area prone to fires.

Emergency Response

Civil defense forces quickly responded to the scene, dispatching several fire engines and establishing a security cordon around the fire to prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas.

Security services rushed to the scene with 6 fire engines and 7 ambulances to combat the fire and provide assistance.

Previous Incidents

This is not the first time a fire has broken out in the Media Production City. A few months ago, a massive fire occurred inside a filming studio in the Islamic Quarter, where part of the decor of artist Yasir Jalal’s “Zudar” series caught fire. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control quickly, and no one was harmed.

Earlier this year, a fire engulfed the decorations of artist Mustafa Shaban’s “Teacher” series inside the Al-Ahram Studio on Al-Haram Street. The fire completely consumed the decorations, and civil protection workers struggled to put out the fire for over 12 hours.
