BLG Overcomes Crisis to Advance to Finals in 2024 League of Legends World Championship

The 2nd set of the semifinals between BLG and WBG in the ‘2024 League of Legends World Championship’ held in Paris, France on the 26th was a nail-biting match. WBG started strong with Ellis Jungle, but BLG quickly turned the tables by securing a kill in the early invade phase. BLG then gained momentum by capturing the opposing mid, Lucian, and WBG struggled to recover from the early setback.

However, WBG refused to give up and continued to push forward, securing kills at the bottom and turning the game around. Despite giving up the first turret to BLG, WBG destroyed all of the larvae and the first turret of the tower. They then took the dragon and secured a significant advantage. WBG’s Xiaohu was caught in the 22nd minute, putting pressure on even the top 2nd turret.

BLG, however, was not ready to concede. They dragged the opponent around and destroyed the 1st mid and 2nd tower turrets, chasing down the opponent who had finished hunting Baron. BLG secured 3 kills and caught the opponent who had re-chased excessively, neutralizing Baron’s power play time. In the 29th minute, BLG won the dragon battle where WBG’s soul was at stake and even recorded an ace.

Seizing the opportunity, BLG used teleportation to enter the opponent’s base in mid and destroyed the Nexus, putting them on the verge of advancing to the finals. This thrilling match showcased the skills and determination of both teams, but BLG emerged victorious.
