On November 4, the 529 Stray Animal Rescue Center in Tongling City, Anhui Province posted a video on its official social platform account saying that in the afternoon, three men broke into the courtyard it rented for stray animals and killed a rescued stray dog. On the afternoon of November 5, a reporter from Dahe News and Yu Video “See” contacted Mr. Li, a volunteer at the rescue center. The other party said that the incident occurred in Jiefangdong Village, Tongguan District, Tongling City, more than 20 kilometers away from its rescue center. , in order to better take care of the old, weak, sick and disabled stray animals, they rented a house with a courtyard in the village.

Mr. Li said that at 2 pm on the 4th, a female volunteer went to feed and found three men in the yard. A dog had been killed. One of the older men was skinning it with a knife, and the other two men Stand and watch. After being discovered, the two younger men climbed over the wall and left. After being questioned by the volunteers, the remaining men had a conflict with them. The female volunteer’s arm was also scratched, which was “not too serious.”
Subsequently, volunteers from the rescue center called the police, and the injured man was taken away by the police. It is reported that the injured man is a native of Jiefangdong Village and is 71 years old. He and his family have not yet apologized or communicated.
