Burning Crusade Classic players can finally storm the Black Temple and face Illidan Stormrage starting August 27. The global launch opens two legendary raids and a new daily faction hub in Shadowmoon Valley.
To build his strength and drive his ambitions, Illidan Stormrage has made the Black Temple his stronghold while gathering an army of fel warriors. Players must infiltrate the shadowed halls to face the Betrayer in Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.
Black Temple Raid Details And Boss Encounters
The level 70 raid instance sits in Shadowmoon Valley, Outland. Players will need to complete an attunement process before entering. Improving standing with the Ashtongue Deathsworn unlocks additional rewards from Okuno inside the raid.
The raid features nine boss encounters. Throughout the instance, adventurers will do battle against High Warlord Naj’entus, Supremus, Shade of Akama, Teron Gorefiend, Gurtogg Bloodboil, Reliquary of Souls, Mother Shahraz, The Illidari Council, and Illidan Stormrage.
The Battle for Mount Hyjal And Archimonde
Players can also journey through the Caverns of Time in Tanaris to preserve the outcome of the Battle for Mount Hyjal. This level 70 raid requires completion of the “The Vials of Eternity” questline to enter.
The encounter features five bosses: Rage Winterchill, Anetheron, Kaz’rogal, Azgalor, and Archimonde. Players can improve their standing with the Scale of the Sands faction and earn rewards from Indormi inside the instance without needing a raid group to enter.
Netherwing Faction And Epic Gems
A new daily faction and quest hub, the Netherwing, arrives in Shadowmoon Valley. Players will need flying mounts or strategic positioning to reach Netherwing Ledge, where daily quests and collectible Netherwing Eggs accelerate reputation gains.
Reaching Exalted reputation allows players to obtain epic Netherwing Drake mounts from Drake Dealer Hurlunk in the Dragonmaw Base Camp, provided they achieve the required Artisan Riding skill and complete the “Blood Oath of the Netherwing” questline. Available drake colors include Azure, Cobalt, Onyx, Purple, Veridian, and Violet.
Players can also enhance their gear with epic gems. Miners with a skill of 375 can earn them through mining in the Battle for Mount Hyjal, while others can find them as rare drops in the Black Temple. Jewelcrafting Designs are available for purchase from Indormi inside Mount Hyjal.
Arena Season 3 Launch Schedule
The conclusion of Arena Season 2 is scheduled for the week of August 16, concluding at 10:00 pm local time on the evening preceding the weekly reset in each region. Arena Season 3 follows with updated progression, new rewards, and fresh gear from Outland quartermasters.
