Devonté Hynes, known as Blood Orange, is back with “the field,” his ⁣first new song in⁢ three years. The track features Caroline Polachek, Eva tolkin, Tariq al-Sabir, and Daniel Caesar. It also ⁤samples The Durutti Column’s “Sing to Me.”

Hynes wrote and produced “The Field” and directed the accompanying music video. The video shows Hynes and friends in the green landscapes of rural England.

The last Blood Orange music was the Four songs ⁣ EP in 2022.Since then, Hynes has focused on film and theater scores. In 2023,⁢ he scored‍ Paul ‍Schrader’s Master Gardener.⁢ The following year, he wrote music for the Broadway play Job.
