Blood-Soaked Tunnel of Tragedy: Israel Releases Haunting Footage of Hostage Site Where 6 Lives Were Lost
Israel Releases Video of Tunnel Where 6 Hostages Died
The Israeli army has released a video from an underground tunnel in the Gaza corridor, revealing the site where six kidnapped hostages were killed by the Palestinian Islamic organization “Hamas” during the attack on October 7 last year.
Israeli forces recently discovered the tunnel and recovered the bodies of the six hostages on the 1st of this month. The news of their deaths has caused widespread grief in Israel.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari provided new details about the final days of the six hostages in the southern Gaza Strip. According to Hagari, the tunnel was too small for the hostages to stand inside, and their living conditions were extremely poor, with inadequate air to breathe.
Israeli forces found various items in the tunnel, including mattresses, clothes, bottles filled with urine, a chess set, the Koran, AK-47 assault rifle magazines, and bloodstains from where the hostages had been shot.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously stated that the six hostages had been shot “in the back of the head.” Hagari vowed that Israeli forces would “hunt down” the militants responsible for the killings.
The Missing Hostages and Families Forum described the footage as “shocking” and warned that “time is running out” to save the hostages still being held.
The Forum for Hostages and Missing Families issued a statement, emphasizing the responsibility of the Israeli government to ensure the safety of those being held captive. The statement read: “The Prime Minister of Israel and the heads of government ministries share responsibility for the fate and safety of those being kidnapped. Their silence and inaction is unprecedented in the history of this country, and history will be with them forever.”
