The Israeli Army’s Claim of Defeating Hamas Amidst Gaza Unrest
September 12, AFP – A recent report highlights the prolonged unrest situation in Gaza, where the Israeli army attacked Al-Jawni School, a shelter for displaced Palestinians in the central area of the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday, September 11th, at least 18 people were found dead, including officials from United Nations (UN) agencies, following the attack on the school.
A spokesman for the Gaza civil defense agency stated on Telegram that this is the fifth time Israeli forces have attacked the Al-Jawni School in the Nuzerat Refugee Camp area, operated by the United Nations Relief and Human Services Agency for refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Two Israeli planes killed at least six UN staff members, the highest number of personnel killed in a single attack.
The Israeli army emphasized that schools and other civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times and not be a target of attack, stating that the mission was to attack the Hamas control center at Al-Jawni School.
