Internet Personalities Rally Against KMT After Alleged assault
Taipei, Taiwan – A group of internet personalities and supporters gathered outside the headquarters of Taiwan’s Kuomintang (KMT) party on Tuesday evening, December 18th, too protest an alleged assault on fellow online influencer Bajeong.
The protest, dubbed “Taipei Winter Blue Boulevard,” was sparked by an incident earlier in the day where Bajeong and fellow influencer “Minan Wolf” were allegedly shoved by a KMT member during a political rally.

Bajeong and Minan wolf were present at the protest, where they were met with cheers and support from the crowd. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as attendees sang songs and held signs denouncing the alleged assault.
“We are here to stand in solidarity with Bajeong and Minan Wolf,” said one protester. “Violence is never acceptable, especially when it’s politically motivated.”
The KMT has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the incident.
This incident comes at a time of heightened political tension in Taiwan, as the island prepares for upcoming elections.

The rally, dubbed “Taipei Winter Bluebird,” was organized by the Taiwan United Economic Democracy and Taiwan Civil Front. Protesters, including human rights activist Li Mingzhe and internet personalities Bajiong and Minan Wolf PYC, condemned the KMT’s proposed amendments to the election and Recall Law, the Constitutional Prosecution Law, and the Financial planning Law.
“the KMT’s actions reflect a mentality of control,” Li Mingzhe declared to the crowd. “They want to cripple the Constitutional Court and limit the people’s power of recall. They aim to eliminate budgets crucial for Taiwan’s defense against China.”
Li Mingzhe, who spent five years imprisoned in China, emphasized the importance of resisting pressure from Beijing. He criticized the KMT’s perceived leniency towards China, stating, “Taiwanese have never backed down from dictators.”
the rally featured impassioned speeches and a live performance by the rock band Cao Qiqin, further galvanizing the crowd.
Lai zhongqiang, convener of the Economic Alliance think tank, urged attendees to continue their protest the following night with a march near the Legislative Yuan, where lawmakers are scheduled to review the controversial bills on December 20th.
The “Cruel Fu Kunqi” march aims to send a clear message to the KMT and demonstrate the Taiwanese people’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding their democratic values.
