Current Situation: New Cases and National Alert

Bolivia has confirmed four‌ cases of the ‍influenza A H3N2 variant K, according to a statement by Bolivian Minister of ‍Health and Sports, Marcela Flores, on December 22, 2023. The ​latest cases involve two‍ children under five years of age, one in the Santa Cruz department and another in the Chuquisaca department. These cases were confirmed through genomic sequencing laboratory tests.
