The Italian Competition Authority (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato) is scrutinizing labor practices within the Bologna packaging district. the investigation focuses on major companies in the sector, including Ima Group and Coesia Group, along with their subsidiaries and service companies. These firms were subject too an Antitrust and Guardia di Finanza (financial police) inspection.
The Allegations
The Antitrust Authority suspects a restrictive agreement concerning the hiring of machine validators. The companies allegedly agreed not to employ validators who had previously worked for any of the other firms involved. The companies under inspection are Akkodis Italy, Coesia, Gd, Iema, Ima, Sia, and Spaiq. validators are a crucial role in the
