Bolton Fatal Crash Victims Subject of ‘Heartless’ Online Comments
A friend of one of three teenagers killed in a head-on collision in Bolton has condemned online comments expressing hatred towards the victims. Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18, died alongside two friends when the car they were travelling in collided with a taxi on January 14, 2026. Taxi driver Masrob Ali, 54, also died in the crash.

Bahar Telila, 24, a childhood friend of Mukhtar, reported seeing hateful comments directed at the teenagers on social media platforms. Telila described Mukhtar as “a good kid, someone of a good character,” and characterized the crash as a tragic mistake. He urged for education on safe driving practices rather than condemnation.
Focus on Road Safety Education
“The negative comments don’t describe the person I knew,” Telila stated.”Rather than doing that, we should try educate parents and kids about driving safely.”
