Bomba Estéreo to Perform Free Concert in Mexico City
Bomba Estéreo, the Colombian music duo, will hold a free concert in Mexico City on November 30. This concert is part of the 25N campaign for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which occurs on November 25. The event will take place at the Zócalo, Mexico’s main square, as announced by the city’s Ministry of Culture.
This concert is part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence, beginning on November 25. The initiative aims to urge decision-makers to commit to combating gender violence and to ensure accountability.
UN Women describes this campaign as an opportunity to reaffirm commitments and demand action toward achieving gender equality. This movement also marks the approach to the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration in 2025, which aims to enhance women’s rights globally.
Bomba Estéreo will perform alongside Mexican artist Samantha Barrón, who will open the show. The duo has been active since 2005 and gained recognition with their hit “Fuego.” Their collaboration with Bad Bunny on the song “Ojitos Lindos” reached significant chart success recently.
Bomba Estéreo previously participated in the Hera HSBC Festival in August, focusing on female-led artists. The upcoming concert at the Zócalo will add to their impressive history of performances in Mexico.
