Bombshell: Claudia Sheinbaum Exposes García Luna’s Lies About AMLO
President-Elect Claudia Sheinbaum Denies Accusations Against Andrés Manuel López Obrador
Mexico City, September 18
Claudia Sheinbaum, President-elect of Mexico, has dismissed the accusations made by former Security Secretary Genaro García Luna that suggest a connection between President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and the drug dealer Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada.
Sheinbaum questioned the validity of García Luna’s claims, stating that they are “completely false” and that the president of Mexico ”has never been associated” with any criminal.
“I know President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Mexican people know him. If he didn’t have the moral authority he has, he wouldn’t have been able to make the transition he did,” declared Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum believes that García Luna’s accusations are motivated by a desire to “stain” the president during the last period of his six-year term.
García Luna’s Letter
Genaro García Luna, former Security Secretary, wrote a handwritten letter claiming that the New York Prosecutor’s Office had offered him a deal in exchange for his cooperation.
In the letter, García Luna blamed the Government of Mexico and the United States for sinking him with lies and suggested the existence of connections between President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada.
“It is public information and it is in the official records of Mexico and the United States, the contacts, videos, audios, photographs, communications and management records between the current President of Mexico and his operatives with the drug trafficking leaders and their families, especially with the drug dealers who were used as witnesses against me during the trial […] These facts have been supported by the recent capture of drug trafficker Ismael Zambada ‘Mayo Zambada’.”
