Rock Meets Fresh Talent: Bon Jovi Unleashes Electrifying Collaboration with Grammy-Nominated Duo on Latest Hit from ‘Forever’ Album

A version of “The People’s House” from the latest album “Forever,” featuring the husband-and-wife duo The War and Treaty, who are nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Grammy Awards, was released on August 30, and the lyric video was also released.

The song goes, “This is a home for the people / From the west coast to the east coast across the country / Where the rugged mountains are our walls / And the city streets are our corridors,” and the lyric video features the White House and the colors blue and red, a reference to the US presidential election scheduled for this November.

The War and Treaty is a Nashville husband-and-wife duo consisting of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter. They are a popular duo whose collaboration with Zach Bryan, “Hey Driver,” made it into the Top 20 of the US singles chart, and who are the first black duo to be nominated by the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and who have been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2023. They are also currently in the process of producing a biographical film.

In February of this year, when Jon Bon Jovi received the MusiCares Person of the Year award, which is given to one person each year in recognition of artistic achievement in the music industry and commitment to charity, The War & Treaty performed a cover of Bon Jovi’s “I’ll Be There For You” at the ceremony.
