Dan Bongino Affirms Epstein Suicide, Citing FBI Findings
Updated June 5, 2025
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino says the agency’s review of evidence in the Jeffrey Epstein death case leads to a ”clear” conclusion of suicide, despite widespread conspiracy theories. Bongino, formerly a right-wing commentator, has faced criticism for his evolving views on the matter.
Bongino said he reviewed video footage of Epstein’s jail cell for the 12 hours before his body was discovered. The convicted sex offender was found dead in his New York City prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide, though many have disputed this.
Jeffrey Epstein died by any other way than suicide.” width=”640″ height=”360″>Speaking on Fox News, Bongino stated there was “no DNA” or other evidence of foul play. He reiterated this on Sean Hannity’s show, saying “nothing” in the file suggested anything other than suicide.
“The evidence we have in our files clearly indicates that it was, in fact, a suicide. We do have video. It’s not the greatest video in the world. I don’t wont to set expectations on fire,” Bongino said.
He elaborated, “Though, the video does show in that specific block, that he goes in, made a phone call; you’ll see 12 hours of guards going in, basically check on him, come back. You’ll see nobody really comes out of that bay in that area than him. There’s no one in there.”
Bongino’s current stance contrasts wiht his previous promotion of conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death. Before becoming FBI Deputy Director in February, he suggested Epstein may have been murdered due to his alleged ability to blackmail powerful people.

“There’s no DNA, there’s no audio, there’s no fingerprints, there’s no suspects, there’s no accomplices, there’s no tips, there is nothing,” Bongino told Fox News.
What’s next
The FBI’s findings, as presented by Bongino, are likely to fuel further debate, especially among those who believe in a “Deep State” conspiracy surrounding Epstein’s death. The release of the video footage coudl potentially offer more clarity, though Bongino has cautioned against expecting too much from it.
