Bonnaroo Offers Full Refunds After Weather Cancellation
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, shuttered early due to severe weather, will now issue full refunds to ticket holders. The four-day music festival in Manchester, Tenn., was canceled after its first day.
Organizers initially planned to refund only 75% of the ticket price, sparking criticism from attendees. A statement posted on Bonnaroo’s Instagram account Friday addressed the change. “We want you to know that we’re still listening and actively discussing plans to improve The Farm that we love so much,” the statement read. “For now, we are updating the refund to 100 percent, rather than the 75 percent originally offered.”
The lineup included Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, Tyler, the Creator, John Summit, Dom Dolla, Vampire Weekend, GloRilla, Tyla, Avril Lavigne and Glass Animals. Luke Combs was the only headliner to perform before the cancellation.
The Bonnaroo team expressed their disappointment in the cancellation. “Everyone who works on this show loves Bonnaroo deeply,” the statement continued. “This cancellation broke our hearts beyond measure, but we knew it had to happen for your safety.”
What’s next
Bonnaroo organizers are evaluating future dates for the music festival. Details will be released as soon as plans are finalized.
