Booker T has revealed that a fan filmed him inside a bathroom during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, describing the incident as one of the most extreme examples of fan misconduct he has ever experienced.
Speaking on his podcast, Booker T detailed a weekend of relentless and invasive encounters with fans who disregarded personal boundaries throughout the event. He said fans were “camped out everywhere,” following him constantly and creating an overwhelming atmosphere that made basic movements difficult.
“They were camped out. They were camped out everywhere. You couldn’t walk anywhere, they were camped out, and they were following me,” Booker T said. “I remember a guy literally filming me in the bathroom. When I walked out, he goes, ‘Hey, hey, Booker,’ and I just kept walking because I was so mad. He was filming me in the bathroom.”
The Hall of Famer stated that this incident was among the most severe fan interactions he has faced in his career, emphasizing the lack of respect shown by attendees during the WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Booker T also described difficulties upon arriving at his hotel, where he was immediately approached by fans before he could check in. He recalled being stopped for photos and autographs while simply trying to complete the check-in process.
“I remember I was going into the hotel, hadn’t even checked in yet, and I was getting mobbed. I’m just trying to get checked in. I’m like, ‘Guys, I can’t do it. I’ve got to get checked in first. Please just let me get checked in.’ And this one guy comes up to me, ‘Can I get a picture, Booker T? Can I get an autograph?’ I’m like, ‘Man, please.’”
The fan then mentioned having autism, which Booker T said felt like an attempt to manipulate the situation. He expressed frustration that such behavior, if accommodated for one person, would set a precedent requiring the same treatment for everyone.
“You know you got autism. Well, why are you out here auting me? You know what I mean? He threw that card on me. I’m trying to make you feel, whatever, feel a certain way. The thing is, what they don’t understand, you do it for one person you’re going to have to do it for everybody else. It’s going to start a chain reaction.”
Booker T concluded by stating that the WrestleMania 42 weekend represented one of the toughest periods he has ever endured regarding fan interaction, citing the pervasive and disrespectful conduct he encountered throughout the event.
