Bose has unveiled its QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen), a move that arrived sooner than many expected. The release cycle for headphones is typically two years, but Bose delivered this sequel in approximately 18 months, prompting questions about the extent of the upgrade.
A primary area of focus is call quality, a persistent challenge for true wireless earbuds.While thes devices offer convenience, their call quality often falls short compared to over-ear headphones. This limitation may stem from the size of the microphones, voice pickup capabilities, or noise cancellation technologies.
Previous Bose models, including the original QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, have exhibited issues with call quality. Sounds were sometimes canceled when the user wasn’t speaking, only to be replaced by ambient noise as soon as they began talking. This issue was so pronounced that callers sometimes reported excessive background noise.
