Aston Martin Adds Boya to F1 driver Academy for Future Role

Aston Martin has expanded it’s driver growth program by launching a formal F1 driver academy and recruiting Mari Boya, a 21-year-old F3 driver from Spain. Boya joins Felipe Drugovich and Jak Crawford in Aston Martin’s efforts to cultivate young talent.
Boya expressed his excitement about joining the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Driver Academy.He said the possibility to learn from a team with significant ambitions in Formula One is a dream come true.His goal is to absorb knowledge, contribute, and demonstrate his potential on the track.
He also noted the inspiring environment at Aston Martin, highlighting Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll, and team ambassador Pedro de la Rosa as role models.
Andy Cowell, Aston Martin CEO and Team Principal, described Boya as a promising talent with a strong track record, natural speed, and a steadfast mindset. cowell added that the team will support Boya in improving his racecraft, technical feedback, media skills, fitness, and personal development to prepare him for a potential future F1 seat.
