Brazil Extends Nike Partnership in Landmark Deal Through 2038
Brazil’s national football teams will continue to wear the iconic swoosh for years to come.
In a move that solidifies one of the longest and most successful partnerships in soccer, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Friday a groundbreaking extension of its kit deal with nike through 2038.
The deal, which was not set to expire until 2026, marks a significant commitment from both sides and underscores the global appeal of Brazilian football.
“this contract shows the strength of Brazilian soccer,” said CBF president Ednaldo rodrigues. “This is one of the longest and most successful partnerships in soccer and, together, we will keep celebrating the brilliance of Brazilian soccer and honor the jogo bonito legacy.”
The extended deal also grants the CBF the right to licence products and open stores worldwide for the first time,expanding the reach of Brazilian football merchandise globally.
Nike’s vice president for Latin america,Doug Bowles,echoed Rodrigues’ sentiment,stating,”This deal strengthens our old commitment with Brazilian soccer.”
Nike has been outfitting Brazil’s national teams as 1996, providing kits for men’s and women’s teams across all age groups, as well as the beach football and futsal teams.
This long-term commitment from Nike comes on the heels of their recent deal with the German Football Federation, replacing Adidas as the provider of apparel and equipment for Germany’s national teams from 2027 to 2034.
