Gyeonggi Province Expands Recruitment Criteria for Suitable Job Employment Support Grant
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation have announced the expansion of recruitment criteria for participating companies in the second half of the ‘Gyeonggi Province Suitable Job Employment Support Grant’ project.
The ‘Gyeonggi-do Suitable Job Employment Support Fund’ is a project that provides up to 9.6 million won per person for one year to small and medium-sized businesses in the province that hire residents in their 50s who fall into the 100 most suitable jobs for baby boomers in Gyeonggi-do. In the first half of the year, 324 companies and 993 people applied for the recruitment that took place from March to May.
The recruitment in the second half of this year has expanded the scope of the business by adjusting the age of the applicants and optimizing the job suitable for Gyeonggi Province to provide more corporate support and stable jobs for baby boomers.
The scope of participation has been expanded from the existing 50-59 age group to 40-64 years old. The ‘Gyeonggi-do type suitable job’ has also been reorganized to reflect the employment situation in Gyeonggi-do, including care services and automobile drivers.
Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of Gyeonggi Job Foundation, emphasized the importance of reflecting the voices of companies and job seekers from a demand-oriented standpoint. He added, “We hope that this expansion of the recruitment scope will lead to the participation of more companies, thereby establishing a foundation for creating and maintaining stable jobs for baby boomers in Gyeonggi Province.”
Small and medium-sized business owners in the province who wish to participate in the project can apply and submit applications through the Job Bar App operated by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation until September 20, 2024.
