Thai Minister ‘Pichai’ Travels to Shanghai to Discuss Trade Barriers with Private Companies

Thai Minister of Business Development, ‘Pichai’, recently traveled to Shanghai to meet with 16 private Thai companies operating in China. The primary objective of the visit was to facilitate the resolution of trade barriers and accelerate the growth of Thai businesses in the Chinese market.

During the meeting, ‘Pichai’ engaged in discussions with the companies to identify key challenges and opportunities for growth. The Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening trade ties between Thailand and China, highlighting the potential for increased exports and economic cooperation.

The visit coincided with the 7th international fair in Shanghai, which showcased over 400 new products from around the world. The event provided a platform for Thai companies to promote their products and connect with potential investors and partners.

‘Pichai’ also announced plans to ship Thai products to the China International Import Expo (CIIE) event, further boosting exports to China. The Minister expressed confidence in the continued growth of Thai-Chinese trade relations, citing the positive trend in recent years.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Prime Minister has warned against increasing import taxes, citing concerns over the potential impact on the global economy. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for international cooperation to promote free trade and economic stability.
