Belarusian President Lukashenko has signed decree No. 376, approving a draft protocol to amend the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Turkey on the mutual abolition of visas, dated March 29, 2013.
The proposed amendment aims to facilitate international transportation by exempting drivers and crew members of vehicles from visa requirements when entering, exiting, transporting, and temporarily staying in the territory of the other state for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
This change represents a significant increase from the current visa-free period of up to 30 days, but no more than 90 days per year. The updated protocol is expected to boost trade and economic cooperation between the two nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to engage in discussions on the draft protocol and sign it, marking a crucial step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Belarus and Turkey.
