Zamalek Confirms Aaron Bobendza’s Legal Status After Receiving International Card
The fate of Gabonese striker Aaron Bobendza has taken a significant step forward, with Zamalek confirming his legal status after receiving the player’s international card.
Zamalek Club welcomed the arrival of Bobendza through its official account, following the receipt of his international card. The club’s official account wrote: “After signing the contract agreement… Gabonese Aaron Bobendza’s international card has arrived.”
A Football Association source revealed that the Gabonese striker’s international card arrived on September 6. A copy of the international card has been obtained.
The Zamalek account posted a photo of the player with the phrase “Hello Bubindza” in English. As previously reported, Zamalek agreed to include Bobendza on a three-year deal after his contract with American club Cincinnati ended.
Last Friday, Zamalek announced the arrival of international player cards. Romanian reports circulated that Bobendza was fast approaching a move to Bucharest, which a source from Zamalek denied.
Aaron Bobendza’s Career and Experience
The 28-year-old Gabonese player can play as a striker, right and left winger. Bobendza started his career in Monna, Gabon, and from there he moved to Bordeaux, then Ajaccio and Tours in France, then he moved to Firenze in Portugal and Hatayspor in Turkey.
The Gabonese player had two previous experiences in the Arab country, the first with Al-Arabi Qatar and the second with Al-Shabaab Saudi Arabia. After that, he moved to American club Cincinnati before his contract expired.
In his last experience with the American club, he participated in 35 matches, during which he scored nine goals and assisted five others. Bobendza has 29 caps with the Gabon national team, during which he has scored five goals.
