Ministry of Education Announces Teacher Transfer Process
The Ministry of Education and Reform of the Educational System has launched a comprehensive transfer process for education staff, including teachers and secondary education teachers working in central administration, regional administrations, and sector-linked organizations.
Eligibility and Transfer Process
The Ministry is targeting education staff employees, including teachers, head teachers, preparatory teachers, and secondary education teachers, who work in central administration, regional administrations, district inspectorates, and public institutions related to the sector. Those with seniority not exceeding 15 years in a public office and not holding administrative posts are eligible for transfer to teach in primary and secondary education institutions.
The aim of this decision is to meet the needs of primary and secondary education institutions in various states. Concerned individuals must indicate their preferred states within 72 hours of the announcement. Transfer requests must be submitted to the Directorate of Human Resources or regional directorates during official working hours. If no response is received, transfers will be based on work requirements.
Transfer Conditions and Limitations
Teachers working in regional administrations and inspectorates are limited to provinces within their current states, while those in central administration can choose any province. Arabic language teachers working in interior states who wish to transfer to the southern state of Nouakchott must meet specific conditions, including:
- At least 20 years of seniority in public employment
- Currently in a teaching position
- Not subscribed to the State
- Not the head of a complete school
Transfer Windows and Application Process
The Ministry has announced the opening of transfer windows for:
- Dual teachers working in Gorgol, Brakna, Nouadhibou, Takant, Guidi Maga, Tiris Zemmour, and Inchiri, who wish to move to Eastern Basins and Western states, Assaba, or Trarza
- French language teachers working in Assaba and Brakna, who wish to transfer to Trarza, including Nouadhibou, Tagant, Tiris Zemmour, and Inchiri
- Arabic language teachers working in Hodh East and Gharbi, La Assaba, Adrar, Tagant, and Inchiri, who wish to transfer to Gorgol, Labrakna, Trarze, Dakhlet Nouadhibou, Guidi Maga, and Tiris Zemmour
All transfer requests must be submitted through the payroll platform using the payroll code between September 18 and 24, 2024.
