New York Jets ⁤running back Breece Hall⁣ is entering‍ a pivotal year. As‌ he approaches free agency, Hall is drawing inspiration from a simple question: “If not me, then⁤ who?” He says he views the phrase as ⁢his daily motivation.

Hall faces added pressure this season. With the Jets’ acquisition of Braelon Allen and isaiah Davis, the Jets’ backfield is more crowded. Hall’s production will directly influence his next⁤ contract. Despite the‌ added competition, ‍Hall embraces the challenge.

“I’m not [entitled] to anything,” Hall said.”I’m around a new GM, new coaches, a lot of new faces. So for me, I’ve got to prove that I’m ‘the guy’ every day.”

Hall’s production dipped last season, with career lows in⁢ rushing yards per game (54.8) and yards per carry (4.2).He attributed some of this to the Jets’ pass-heavy offence and admitted his own performance wasn’t ⁣up to par. His name even surfaced in ⁢trade rumors around the draft.

Jets ‍coach Aaron Glenn quelled those rumors, assuring hall of his importance to the team. According to Hall, Glenn said, “I don’t ⁢want to trade you. ⁣I want you⁤ to be here. You’re going to be our⁣ running back.”

“To me, that’s them lifting their end of the couch,” Johnson said. “And now it’s my turn to lift my end of the couch.”

Johnson is expected to be ready for Week 1.

meanwhile, despite his release in March, former Jets⁤ captain C.J. Mosley remains a presence, offering leadership advice to current players Quincy⁢ Williams and Jamien⁣ Sherwood.
