Cincinnati ⁤— The Milwaukee Brewers continued their dominance over the Cincinnati Reds, securing a 9-1 victory Wednesday ⁣and extending their series winning streak to 12. Key to the Brewers’ offensive explosion were home⁢ runs from‍ Isaac Collins, Jackson Chourio, and Daz Cameron.

Andrew‍ Abbott, the Reds’‍ starting‍ pitcher, entered the game with a stellar 0.55 ERA for May. However, the Brewers handed Abbott (5-1) his ⁤first defeat of the season.

After Abbott retired the first eight batters, Brice Turang doubled and scored on Andruw⁢ Monasterio’s single in the third inning, giving ⁣Milwaukee⁤ a 1-0 lead. ‍The Brewers’ offence then took flight.

Chourio’s two-run homer in the fifth inning,his 10th of the season,increased the‍ lead to 3-0. Cameron followed with a two-run shot of his own in the sixth, ⁣his first since ⁣July ‍30, 2024.Abbott’s ⁤outing concluded after⁤ allowing five runs,⁤ a season-high.

Collins capped the Brewers’ scoring with a three-run homer in the⁢ ninth off Wade miley, who was making his⁢ first appearance for the Reds after signing earlier in ⁣the day. Miley surrendered ‍four earned runs⁢ in two innings.
