Minneapolis – christian Yelich’s potent bat has the Milwaukee Brewers riding high as they prepare for the second game of their series against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. Following a dominant 17-6 victory Friday, Yelich looks to continue his torrid streak at target Field.
Yelich’s Friday performance was one for the record books. His eight RBIs not only tied a franchise record but also marked the first time since 1920 a player achieved that feat without a home run. Over his last four games, Yelich is hitting 10-for-19, boosting his season stats to 14 home runs and 52 RBIs despite a .252 average.
“There’s not a lot of nights like this during the season, so you’ve got to appreciate it when they do happen,” yelich said. “Enjoy the success in baseball because there’s a lot of nights where it doesn’t go your way. Happy for the guys.”

For Saturday’s matchup, veteran left-hander Jose Quintana (4-2, 3.35 ERA) will take the mound for Milwaukee, hoping to replicate Jacob Misiorowski‘s strong start from Friday.
