In the final episode of HBO’s “Somebody Somewhere,” Sam, played by Bridget Everett, takes center stage to sing Miley Cyrus’ “The climb.” This moment highlights the journey of self-revelation for Sam, a 40-something navigating life in Manhattan, Kan.
The series began with Sam reluctantly performing karaoke with her friend Joel (Jeff Hiller), revealing her hidden musical talent.
