‘RHOA’ Star Brit ⁣Eady Sues Bravo ⁣Over Sex Act Allegation

‍ ⁣ ‌ Updated June 7, 2025

Brit Eady, of “Real Housewives⁤ of Atlanta,” is suing Bravo NBCUniversal and ⁣production companies for $20 million,
⁢⁣ ⁢ alleging exploitation related‌ to a sexually⁤ suggestive image shown during ‌an episode. The lawsuit centers on an
⁣ incident at Kenya‌ Moore’s hair spa opening in June 2024.

During the event, moore displayed posters of ⁢a ⁢woman performing oral sex, which the show framed as a‌ response to
a feud with Eady, who was not present. Viewers and castmates⁤ were ⁢led to believe the image was of‌ Eady.

Eady’s lawsuit claims producers allowed this narrative to persist, allegedly refusing ⁣to show her the photo
‍ despite multiple ⁣requests. She alleges Bravo ‌and its partners ‍were aware or negligent in broadcasting the photo
with the‌ implication it was her, resulting in “emotional distress, workplace harassment, and reputational harm.”
‍

The⁢ suit accuses the‌ network of defamation, false light,⁤ sexual‌ harassment, and creating a hostile work
‌ ⁤ environment. Eady demands the ‍episode be removed from all platforms and seeks ⁢punitive ⁤damages of at ‍least $20
‌ million. Her legal team will‌ pursue a default judgment if Bravo and⁤ its partners⁣ do not respond.

Eady ‍stated‌ on Instagram Stories that she would not⁣ attend the “RHOA” reunion, ⁣expressing her emotional⁣ distress.
⁣ ‍ “The events of this season have devastated ‌me… I do want ⁤to set the record straight about one ‍thing:⁣ the graphic
⁢ sexual photo⁣ surrounding the events ‌in Episode 5. That photo was ‍not me,” she wrote.

She clarified that her reaction ‌was⁣ based⁤ on what‌ she was told, not what she saw, and confirmed the image was
‌ ⁤ not her after recently⁣ viewing it. “I did‌ not see the photo at the time,” she continued.⁣ “Rather, ⁣I was made
⁤ aware of ⁢the photo being presented at the event,⁢ and based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow ‌a
⁣ ⁢ photo of me — which⁤ is‍ why I reacted in the way that I did.”

“I do not‍ know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the⁢ first time recently,I now know it was not
⁢ me,” she⁣ added.

While⁤ not named‍ in ‍the lawsuit, Kenya Moore was suspended from filming ‍for the remainder⁢ of Season 16 after‍ an
internal investigation. She later issued a public apology‍ on ‌X, stating, “I take full ⁢accountability for my
⁢ ⁢actions and‌ deeply apologize‍ to all those affected‍ including⁣ Brittney, the cast, ⁢crew, guests and viewers.”

Both Moore ‍and Eady⁣ reportedly opted ⁤out of attending⁣ the Season 16 ‍reunion taping,⁣ which has⁢ yet to air.

What’s next

The legal proceedings will determine the outcome of Eady’s claims against Bravo and the production companies,
⁢ ⁢ possibly setting a precedent for reality television liability.
