‘Britpop legends’ Oasis will tour Korea next October… “Oasis coming soon”
Oasis to Perform in South Korea After 16 Years
Oasis, the legendary British Britpop band, will perform in South Korea on October 21, 2024. This concert will take place at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi-do. This marks their first concert in Korea since 2009, when the band disbanded.
Live Nation Korea confirmed the concert on November 22, 2023. Oasis announced their reunion on social media, greeting South Korea with the message, “Our new best friend.”
The band, formed in 1991, has sold over 90 million albums worldwide. They are known for hit songs like “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Live Forever.” Oasis disbanded due to conflicts between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
Despite their split, fans kept hoping for a reunion. In August 2023, the band reunited, and their UK tour tickets sold out quickly. Oasis has a strong connection with Korean fans, having performed multiple times since their first concert in 2006.
Noel Gallagher previously expressed his affection for Korean fans on social media, stating, “You guys are the best.” Recently, a social media post hinted at the Korea tour, featuring a promotional image that drew fans’ attention.
Alongside the Korea concert, Oasis will perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on October 25-26, 2024, and will kick off their reunion tour in Wales in July 2024.
