Broad Street Line Faces Delays After Passenger Incident

Commuters on SEPTA’s Broad Street line are experiencing significant delays Thursday morning following an incident at the Fern Rock Transit Center. A passenger was struck by a train, according to SEPTA officials.
The incident,which occurred around 6:09 a.m., has resulted in wait times of up to 30 minutes in both directions on the Broad street Line. To mitigate the disruption, SEPTA has deployed shuttle buses between Fern Rock and Olney Transit Center, aiding passengers in their morning commute.
SEPTA officials stated that details surrounding the incident remain under investigation. The condition of the individual struck by the train is currently unknown, but an update is expected later today.
