Bronze for Mexico! – Rosa María Guerrero wins a medal in the discus throwing event

The athlete from Mexico managed to get on the podium after achieving a record of 25.81 metres.

Mexico City, August 30 (However).- Mexico added his second medal in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Gamesthanks to the athlete’s excellent performance Rosa María Guerrero Cázareswho managed to win a medal from bronze in the proof of disc throw F55.

Thanks to that third throw, he managed to secure a place on the podium because, with the exception of the first two places, none of the other participants came close to that mark.

The gold medal went to Erica María Castaño Salazar, representative of Colombia, who registered an excellent mark of 26.70 meters.

Chinese athlete Feixia Dong was just three points behind her, as her highest record, which won her the silver medal, was 26.67 metres.

With this result, Rosa María Guerrero Cázares adds the second medal of her sports career in the Paralympic Games, as she also managed to win a bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 edition.

At that time he achieved a record of 24.11 metres, so he has greatly surpassed that result with this new mark.
