Brooke Hogan’s Removal from Father’s Will Revealed
Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Brooke Reveals Why She Removed Herself From His Will
Hulk Hogan, the iconic professional wrestler and pop culture figure, tragically passed away on July 24th at the age of 71 from a heart attack, intricate by a history of atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). While the world mourned the loss of “The hulkster,” his daughter, Brooke Hogan, has recently shared a deeply personal and revealing account of her relationship with her father and the circumstances surrounding his estate. In a recent interview,Brooke detailed her decision to remove herself from her father’s will, citing fears surrounding potential conflicts with his widow,Linda Hogan, and concerns about the influence of Scientology.
Brooke Hogan’s Decision to Step Away From the Will
Brooke, who is married to former NHL player Steven Oleksy and a mother of twins born this past January, explained her preemptive move during a recent interview. Her decision wasn’t motivated by a desire for financial gain, but rather a desire to avoid a potentially messy and emotionally draining legal battle.
“I knew, in my mind, this is how the math was going to work out,” Brooke stated. She expressed her respect for Linda Hogan, noting she had always been treated kindly, but acknowledged the potential for complications given Linda’s past associations and the known influence of Scientology. While Linda reportedly remains a Scientologist, she has publicly stated she left the church.
Brooke’s primary concern stemmed from a fear of being embroiled in a conflict involving Linda and the Church of Scientology. “I don’t want to fight Linda. I don’t want to fight Scientology. I don’t want somebody that I love to get knocked off. I don’t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me,” she explained. “And I just said I want out.”
Beyond the potential legal battles, brooke also expressed disappointment that her father didn’t trust her with his intellectual property (IP) and trademarks. She believed she could have effectively managed his legacy, creating enduring tributes similar to those established for Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, and Selena. “I had hoped that my dad at least trusted me with his IP…as I would have done the right thing and upheld his – I would have made him an Elvis legacy, or a Marilyn monroe legacy, or a Selena legacy.” She voiced concerns about the individuals currently surrounding her father’s estate, questioning their motives and whether they truly had his best interests at heart.
A Small Trust for Her Children
Despite removing herself from the will, Brooke is set to receive funds from a small life insurance trust established by her father. She intends to use this money responsibly, investing it in college funds for her twin children. This demonstrates that her decision to step away from the larger estate wasn’t financially driven, but rather a protective measure for herself and her family.
