The song is the first glimpse into ⁢ Twilight ‍Hours,⁤ a previously unreleased ‍album now included in‌ the upcoming box set, ​ Tracks II: The Lost Albums, scheduled for release June 27. This new collection showcases⁤ Springsteen’s role as a ‌musical archivist, ⁢compiling seven shelved albums from 1983 to 2018.

Twilight Hours features orchestral arrangements‌ and explores themes of romance and urban isolation, drawing inspiration from​ American ⁣pop standards. Springsteen⁢ noted the album⁣ was once considered as a double record with Western Stars or part of ⁢the same project. He expressed his admiration for songwriters like Burt Bacharach, adding that he enjoyed the​ challenge of the more complex chord structures.
