Updated June 18,2025
Bruce Springsteen, the legendary singer-songwriter,revealed plans for even more unreleased material. This announcement follows the upcoming release of “Tracks II: The Lost Albums,” a compilation featuring seven never-before-heard records, set to drop june 27.
“Tracks II” boasts 83 songs from across Springsteen’s career, offering a deep dive into his artistic journey. While many believed this box set woudl exhaust his vault, Springsteen told The New york Times that “Tracks III” is already in progress.
Springsteen said “Tracks III” will follow the format of “Tracks II,” presenting complete albums rather than a collection of disparate tracks. He noted the new collection contains five full albums of music, spanning from his 1973 debut, “Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.,” to 2024.
Springsteen emphasized the importance of releasing the material as complete albums, stating that a record “is exactly what it says it is. It is a record of who you are and where you were at that moment in your life.” He added that these albums “were of a piece, of a moment, of a genre.” A release date for “Tracks III” has not been announced.
one track featured on ”Tracks II” is “Blind Spot,” originally intended as the opening for his unreleased “Streets Of Philadelphia Sessions.” this project was shelved when Springsteen reunited with The E Street Band after seven years.
Another collection included in “Tracks II” is described as a lo-fi exploration of the “LA Garage Sessions ’83,” bridging the gap between 1982’s “Nebraska” and 1984’s “Born in the USA.”
Along with the 83-song compilation, a shorter album titled “Lost And Found: Selections From The Lost Albums” will feature 20 highlights from the collection.
The announcement of new music follows the BBC’s commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Springsteen’s first U.K. concert. Springsteen also recently criticized former President Donald Trump’s administration during a Manchester show, leading to a public exchange between the two. Musicians such as Eddie vedder, Neil Young, Tom Morello, and Bono supported Springsteen’s statements.
Earlier today, the trailer for the Springsteen biopic,Deliver Me From Nowhere, was released, starring Jeremy allen White. The film is scheduled for release Oct. 24.
