A female nurse in India fought off an attempted rape by three men, including a doctor, in a private hospital in Samastipur, Bihar.
According to recent foreign media reports, the incident occurred on the 11th (local time) when the nurse was attacked by the suspects, who had planned the crime carefully, including locking the hospital and turning off the CCTV.
The nurse, who was about to leave work, received a call from a doctor and was attacked when she went to the clinic thinking there was an emergency.
The nurse managed to escape and cut the genitals of one of the suspects, a doctor, with a knife in the treatment room.
The police arrived after receiving a report from the nurse and arrested three people at the scene. The doctor whose genitalia was amputated underwent a stitch operation.
The police recovered half a bottle of liquor, a knife used by the nurse, blood-stained clothes, and three mobile phones from the scene.
A police officer praised the nurse’s bravery, saying, “The spirit and courage shown by the survivor is commendable.”
