Updated June 09, 2025
Brynn Whitfield, known for her role on The Real Housewives of New York City, has announced she is leaving the show after two seasons. Whitfield, 39, shared the news on Instagram, stating she will shift her focus to her career in the tech industry, specifically as Chief Marketing Officer of the dating app Hoppy.

Whitfield joined the rebooted RHONY cast in 2022 for its 14th season, quickly gaining recognition for her wit and charm. Her departure follows the season 15 reunion and comes after reported tensions with other cast members.
In her announcement, Whitfield reflected on her time on the show. “It was the honor of a lifetime to help reboot such an iconic franchise,” Whitfield said. “From day one, I’ve believed RHONY is a fan’s show — we’re just temporary custodians of something that truly belongs to the viewers.”

Whitfield assured fans that she will remain in the spotlight, mentioning her Spotify podcast, “Please see Below,” and a forthcoming book. “To date,I’ve onyl shared a fraction of who I am,what I’ve been through and what I’ve learned. It’s the most vulnerable thing I’ve ever written,” she said of her book.
“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to walk away from reality TV. For now,” she wrote.
Splitting her time between New York and London, where Hoppy has offices, Whitfield is dedicated to elevating her business. “It feels like a life long dream I never knew is coming true,” she stated.
“Last week, Hoppy — the dating app I co-founded and proudly serve as Chief Marketing Officer — hit a massive download milestone. I can’t even put into words how surreal it feels. All I want to do now is pour every ounce of energy into building Hoppy into the #1 dating app in the world.”
