WCW legend Marcus “Buff” Bagwell has recently undergone a significant surgery, having his leg amputated above the knee. This challenging decision comes after years of ongoing complications stemming from a severe car accident he was involved in back in 2020. Bagwell shared the news himself via his YouTube channel on Friday, posting a vlog recorded with his fiancée just hours before heading to the hospital.
A Difficult Journey to Amputation

He explained that numerous surgeries and extensive efforts to save his leg following the initial 2020 car wreck had ultimately led to the necessity of an above-the-knee amputation. The accident, which occurred in Cobb County, georgia, left Bagwell with a multitude of serious injuries, including broken ribs, a fractured right hip, a broken left socket bone, and a torn right groin muscle, among others.

Following the surgery, fellow former wrestler maven Huffman accompanied Bagwell to the hospital and shared an emotional update on his own YouTube channel. The video captured a recovering Bagwell, awake and conversing with Huffman, his right thigh bandaged post-amputation. In a poignant moment,Bagwell shared that he could still feel his calf,despite the limb no longer being attached.
