Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Holds Extended Meeting

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held an ‌extended meeting with Dr. Waleed Abbas, Vice President of the New Urban Community Authority for Planning and Projects Sector – Supervisor⁤ of the Minister’s Office, and officials in the Planning and Projects Sector.

Strengthening Investment Opportunities in New Cities

The ​Minister of Housing ordered to strengthen the plan to provide⁤ different types of investment ‌opportunities in new cities within‌ the framework of the authority’s ‍plan for urban development and to‌ know the types in coordination with‌ the ⁤development sector and urban ⁢development and new city agencies.

Updating Strategic Plans and Maximizing Land Utilization

The minister also directed to update the ⁣previous⁤ generation strategic plans ‍of the ‌new cities, to maximize the exploitation of the empty spaces of those cities, especially‌ the lands overlooking the main road axes, and to cooperate with the ⁤General Authority for Urban Planning to review the strategic plans.

Partnership Projects with the ‌Private Sector

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini⁣ emphasized the continuous follow-up of the partnership projects with ‍the private ‍sector, the position of​ receiving similar shares of the authority according to the⁣ specified schedule and the creation of a complete report‌ on the position of all partnership projects.

Implementation of ⁢Law No. 187 of 2023

The Minister⁢ emphasized the importance of closely following the implementation of Law No. 187 of 2023, on the reconciliation of certain building violations and codifying their ‍conditions, and taking advantage⁢ of the law to ‌absorb⁢ the⁤ greatest number of building violations ​and codifying their conditions.

Land Development in the North West Coast Region

The Housing Minister reviewed the current status of land development in ⁣the North West Coast region, ⁤which is under the ‍jurisdiction of the New Urban Community Authority, and ‍emphasized the importance of optimal utilization of these lands due to their large size.

Support for Workers in the Planning⁢ and Projects Sector

The Housing Minister concluded⁢ his meeting with officials of the Planning and Projects Sector‍ of the New ⁢Urban Community Authority,‍ emphasizing the provision of all support to the workers in this sector to achieve the desired goals and redirect the efforts to achieve.

Approved Structural and ​Detailed ⁤Plans

The Authority’s Vice President for Planning and Projects Sector mentioned the location of the ⁤approved structural and detailed plans for the period October 2023 to June⁢ 2024 in 22 cities covering an​ area of ​​about 129 ⁢thousand acres.
