Amendments ⁢to the Law on Spatial Planning and Land Use Enter⁣ into Force

The amendments to the Law on Spatial⁣ Planning and Land Use at the‍ level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have entered into force, introducing the ‌implementation of ⁢e-permits in ‍the field ⁣of ⁤construction.

The amendments were adopted by the representatives⁣ of the ⁣People’s House, following earlier approval by the members of ‍the House of ⁢Representatives⁢ of the Senedd.

Federal Minister of Spatial Planning Željko Nedic stated that the introduction of e-permits will strengthen cooperation and coordination between competent cantonal ministries and the⁢ Federal ⁢Ministry of Spatial Planning. The necessary steps will be taken to enable the implementation of an electronic system⁢ for obtaining ‍e-permits and other actions in the ‌field of construction.

The current Law did not‍ contain provisions for the introduction ⁢of an electronic ⁤system ⁢of issuing permits in the field of construction. The amendments aim to facilitate the process of obtaining licenses for investors, reducing the ‌need for ⁤physical visits to the Ministry.

“I believe that in this way we will facilitate the process of obtaining licenses for all⁤ our ‍investors. It will no ⁢longer be necessary⁢ to come physically to the Ministry to submit specific applications, because everything‌ will be connected in electronic,” said Nedic.

The amendments also enable construction in areas that were previously restricted, including urban planning approval under the Ministry’s jurisdiction for areas that declared historic-urban landscapes.

Investors will now be able to build in these‍ areas, thanks to the introduction of a new method. The deadlines for issuing acts in ⁣the field of construction under the ⁢Ministry’s jurisdiction have been ⁢reduced from 30 to 15 days.

“The deadlines ⁤for ⁢issuing acts in the field of construction under the Ministry’s jurisdiction have been reduced from 30 to 15 days. This way we will help investors implement‌ all ⁢their projects faster,” said Nedic.
