Building a Healthier Future: Groundbreaking Begins on State-of-the-Art Education and Training Center in Pyeongchang-gun

Gangwon Pyeongchang-gun announced on the 29th that the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (Director Kang Jung-gu) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an education training center at 26 Chahang-ri, Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun on the 28th.

The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service Education and Training Center construction project will begin with site selection in 2020, with a total building area of 19,000 m2 on a site of approximately 123,000 m2, with the goal of completion in December 2026.

After completion, the HIRA Education and Training Center will be able to maximize the training effect through various experiential activities linked to surrounding tourist facilities in Daegwallyeong-myeon, a clean plateau area 700 meters above sea level, and will provide opportunities for healing and recharge through sufficient rest in clean nature. It seems.

When the HIRA Education and Training Center is built, about 60 employees will reside there and it is expected that more than 40,000 people will use it annually.

Accordingly, local residents expect that the HIRA Training Center will greatly contribute to creating large-scale jobs and revitalizing the local economy. In addition, following the reputation of successfully hosting the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Pyeongchang-gun’s brand value is expected to rise further, and if related policy research becomes more active, the local health care environment is also expected to improve.

Pyeongchang-gun is actively supporting the construction of infrastructure, such as processing permits and widening and paving the access road, so that the construction of the training center can proceed smoothly. We plan to provide convenience by improving public transportation conditions so that training center users do not have any inconveniences in transportation, and do our best to provide preferential benefits to nearby resorts and tourist facilities.
