Buy a Bullet for a Baby: A Poignant Poem by Andy Senior
Buy a Bullet for a Baby – Poem by Andy Senior
Dear IRS:
You’ll never guess—
I made a little money.
I bought a gift for my child,
Something bright and bold,
A bullet, not for harm,
But a token of dreams,
Of hopes and futures,
Shining under the sun.
In this life we live,
We chase after joys,
We find light in laughter,
Even in shadows.
A simple wish,
To protect and care,
To see my baby smile,
To feel love in the air.
So here I stand,
With a letter for you,
A parent’s desire,
That rings clear and true.
Every coin I earn,
Every dream I pursue,
Is wrapped in a promise
To give my child the best view.
