Buzzing with Action: Nouakchott Region Declares War on Mosquitoes in Media Desert
Yesterday, Thursday, the Nouakchott region launched an extended campaign to fight mosquitoes in all nine provinces of the capital.
The authority said in a statement that the campaign lasts ten days, and targets squares and public spaces, as well as marshes and ponds, which constitute a suitable place for mosquitoes to breed.
The technical teams for this campaign are divided into ten groups that have the necessary equipment to carry out their tasks, according to the statement.
The head of the Nouakchott region, Fatima Bint Abdel Malek, asked all residents to keep up with this campaign by sterilizing homes and bathrooms in conjunction with it, and closing doors and windows while spraying vehicles passing by.
