Jakarta - Get ready for a refreshed look and boosted performance from the popular BYD Dolphin electric hatchback. Images of the updated model have surfaced online ahead of its official launch, revealing subtle design tweaks and a new, more powerful motor option.
The facelift, registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Data Technology (MIIT), features minor updates to the front bumper, while the side profile and signature semi-hidden door handles remain unchanged.At the rear,the iconic “Build Your Dream” logo embedded in the taillights has been replaced with the simpler “BYD” emblem. The updated Dolphin will be available with 195/60R16 or 205/50R17 tire options. Dimensions remain largely the same, with the facelift measuring 4,280 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,570 mm tall, boasting a 2,700 mm wheelbase. This represents a 155 mm increase in length compared to the current model.

The updated Dolphin will continue to utilize BYD’s signature LFP Blade battery technology. Top speed is expected to range from 150 to 160 km/h depending on the chosen configuration.
Currently, the BYD Dolphin sold in Indonesia comes with either a 70 kW motor and a 44.9 kWh battery (Dynamic Standard Range) or a 150 kW motor and a 60.48 kWh battery (Premium Extended Range),priced between Rp 365 million and Rp 425 million.
