Data compiled by StrategicTHreservice.xyz reveals that entities have amassed approximately $17 billion worth of Ethereum. This substantial accumulation underscores the growing belief in Ethereum’s long-term potential and its role in the evolving digital economy.
Ethereum Storage Companies Outperform
The performance of Ethereum-focused companies further highlights this positive trend. 180 Live Sciences, operating under the name “Ethzilla,” witnessed a remarkable surge, climbing over 50% in early trading.This surge followed an announcement that the company, backed by billionaire Peter Thiel and transitioning from biotechnology to Ethereum storage, now holds 82,186 Ethereum units. the company’s stock has jumped over 200% since the announcement.
Ethereum Futures See Massive Inflows
The appetite for Ethereum extends beyond direct investment. August saw Ethereum futures in the U.S. attract net inflows exceeding $1.7 billion, dwarfing the $436 million inflows recorded by other investment vehicles, according to Bloomberg data.
Furthermore, the nine U.S.-listed Ethereum funds experienced a record trading volume on Tuesday, marking the highest since their inception. Open interest in Ethereum futures also reached a record $6.6 billion across exchanges,according to data from Queen Glass.
Strong 2025 Expectations for Ethereum
Analysts are increasingly bullish on Ethereum’s prospects.Jeff Kendrick, head of international encrypted assets at Standard Chartered, highlighted the potential impact of new regulations.
Stablecoin Legislation as a Catalyst
Kendrick believes that the passage of guidance and the establishment of the national innovation of the American stable currencies (Genius) in July – which allows for wider adoption of stablecoins – represents a pivotal shift.
He notes that stablecoins currently account for 40% of total blockchain fees,with the Ethereum network hosting over 50% of these currencies.
“The law will indirectly enhance the activity of the first layer of the Ethereum network, as the high liquidity of stable currencies leads to growth in the decentralized financing activity, which is dominated by Ethereum,” Kendrick stated.
Standard Chartered Raises Price Target
Based on these factors, Standard Chartered has considerably raised its Ethereum price target for the end of 2025 to $7,500, a substantial increase from its previous estimate of $4,000. This revised forecast reflects the growing confidence in Ethereum’s future and its potential to reshape the financial landscape.
