Cairo Drinking Water Company Confirms‌ Safety of Drinking Water

The Cairo Drinking‌ Water Company has issued an official statement confirming that the rumors ⁣circulating on⁣ social media about⁢ the contamination of the drinking water are false. The company assures citizens that the‍ drinking water is safe, fully potable, and conforms to specifications.

The Truth About What Happened‍ in Aswan

In recent days, rumors have been circulating about ⁤water pollution in Egypt, especially in Aswan Governorate. However, Aswan Governorate has denied ⁢these ⁢rumors, which were‌ spread ‌by bloggers on social‍ media pages. The governorate insists that all these‌ rumors are just rumors and all water analysis confirms ⁢that it‍ is safe ⁣from any pollutants.

The Deputy‌ Prime Minister ⁢of Human Development and the Egyptian ⁢Minister of Health ⁤and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel⁤ Ghaffar, has revealed that the ministry has a system to ⁤ensure the safety of every drink. The water point that reaches the citizen, and samples of Aswan’s water station⁤ packages ⁤show absolute water security.

The ministry has conducted analysis and tests on some parts of the⁢ water stations to find out the reasons for the spread‌ of gastrointestinal diseases among ‌the residents of Aswan. The results of the⁤ samples showed the protection of all samples by chemical tests, and⁢ this is done daily at the republican level to respond ⁢to rumors about the safety and⁢ security of the Nile.

The testing of diarrheal samples confirmed the presence of a coliform bacterial ⁤infection‌ called “E. coli bacteria”⁢ that resides in any contaminated water or food. This‍ confirms ⁣that ‌the drinking water is not the cause ‌of the gastrointestinal⁣ diseases in Aswan.
