Key Teams and Opening Matchups
The New York Liberty, the reigning champions, will have 32 nationally televised or streamed games. A’ja Wilson, the league’s MVP from last year, and the Las Vegas Aces will be featured in 33 national broadcasts.
The Las Vegas aces will tip off their season against the Liberty in New york on May 17.On the same day, Caitlin Clark, Aliyah boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and the Indiana Fever will face Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso, and the Chicago Sky in their season opener. Both games will be broadcast on ABC.
To accommodate larger audiences, six of Indiana’s games have been moved from opposing teams’ regular home arenas to venues with greater seating capacities.
Similarly, the Aces and Washington Mystics have relocated games to larger venues. The Washington Mystics will play games against las Vegas and chicago at EagleBank Arena in Virginia. The Aces will move two games against the Sky and one against the Lynx to T-Mobile Arena.
